NEW FOR 2009

Unistock® Forward Catch Headgate

  • Offers all benefits of MK1
  • Innovative new catch mechanism
  • Quieter operation
  • Ideal for docile cattle (eg dairy cattle)
  • More efficient with horned cattle

Launched in June 2009 the Unistock Forward Catch Headgate incorporates an innovative capture method designed to be less stressful on cattle.

Unlike other autocatch headgate systems where, when placed in the catch position, the two neck-doors lie inwards towards the approaching animal. The new Unistock forwards catch headgate has the neck-doors lying outward away from the approaching animal. This provides a funnelling effect with the animal entering the headgate more easily.

Only light pressure is required to allow the latch to operate as the animal fails to travel forward through the headgate and then tries to pull its head rearwards back into the crate.
